<b>FARMAL\u00cdDER<\/b>, que tiene por objetivo desarrollar un nuevo medicamento por v\u00eda oral para el tratamiento de la artrosis erosiva de mano.<\/p><p>Para lograrlo, <b>FARMAL\u00cdDER<\/b>\u00a0ha contado con la colaboraci\u00f3n de 5 centros hospitalarios entre Catalu\u00f1a y Andalucia, entre los cuales el <b>Hospital del Mar de Barcelona<\/b>\u00a0actu\u00f3 como centro de referencia y comit\u00e9 \u00e9tico de referencia.<\/p><p>En el proyecto tambi\u00e9n ha participado <b>ADKNOMA<\/b>, como organizaci\u00f3n de investigaci\u00f3n por contrato (CRO) del ensayo cl\u00ednico.<\/p><p><br \/>La artrosis erosiva de mano es una patolog\u00eda cr\u00f3nica que aparece en personas de mediana edad produciendo dolor severo y una importante limitaci\u00f3n funcional. La EHOA se considera una enfermedad no bien tratada, ya que no existen alternativas terap\u00e9uticas adecuadas. Los tratamientos actualmente utilizados solo proporcionan un control muy modesto de los s\u00edntomas y no est\u00e1n exentos de efectos adversos importantes debido a la cronicidad de la enfermedad y la toxicidad de los f\u00e1rmacos. Tras el seguimiento cl\u00ednico realizado en el Hospital del Mar de Barcelona en pacientes con EHOA refractarios al tratamiento convencional, se observ\u00f3 que Montelukast se asociaba con una mejor\u00eda del dolor, de la funcionalidad de la mano y, en algunos casos, de la evoluci\u00f3n radiol\u00f3gica. Estos resultados apoyaron la hip\u00f3tesis de su posible utilidad terap\u00e9utica en la EHOA por su acci\u00f3n antiinflamatoria y motivaron el inicio de un programa de reposicionamiento terap\u00e9utico, materializado en el proyecto ARSIDOS-020.
