AGAcell is a <strong>preclinical research program<\/strong> that explores the <strong>intradermal administration of a patented stem cell formulation<\/strong>, combined with a <strong>bioactive molecule<\/strong>, for the therapeutic treatment of <strong>androgenetic alopecia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the company\u2014led by <strong>Jos\u00e9 \u00c1ngel S\u00e1nchez and Marisa Berenguer<\/strong>\u2014\u201candrogenetic alopecia goes beyond the aesthetic dimension, as progressive hair loss removes the natural protective barrier and chronically exposes the scalp to ultraviolet radiation, which is associated with <strong>increased photoaging<\/strong> and a higher risk of certain <strong>skin carcinomas<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several studies also point to its negative impact on <strong>self-esteem and mental health<\/strong>. To address this challenge, AGAcell is based on a potential therapy that explores the <strong>ability to restore the cellular microenvironment of the hair follicle<\/strong>, thereby promoting hair regeneration through a <strong>minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure<\/strong>.
